The sapphire is said to have many properties.
The ancient Persians believed Earth rested on a great sapphire, the
reflection of which gave the sky its blue color. It is also known as a
"royal gem” of truth, sincerity, faithfulness and even long-lasting love.
The sapphire is said to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, and
tension; to facilitate communication and expression; and to augment
loyalty, self expression, and truth.
Because it helps with order and organizing of ideas and
communication, the blue sapphire would be an ideal stone to help an
author write that first book or to help a teacher organize lesson plans.
